DTMT developed the housing of the keyless, vandal-proof ticket vending machine for Trapeze-Elgeba Gerätebau GmbH from Bad Honnef. He

has a continuous, smooth glass front, interrupted only by the recesses for cash insertion, cards and ticket issuance. As burglary and vandalism at train and bus stations – especially in remote locations – are steadily increasing, the housing is a sandwich construction of stainless steel reinforced with hardened steel.

Just one and a half months after the order was placed, DTMT presented the prototype of the ticomat. The design manager at Trapeze-Elgeba is convinced that the new machines will also withstand pronounced destructiveness: “The people from Mechernich have a great deal of experience in building robust outdoor enclosures. Their specialist knowledge of sheet metal fabrication, powder coating, screen printing and system assembly also convinced us. And the development time of just six weeks means an extremely short time-to-market for us.”
